If you've been listening for the past few weeks, you likely would have heard us talk about Hillary's Ride for Mental Health, a cross-Canada bicycle ride aiming to reduce the stigma around talking about mental health and suicide. Named after Hillary Werthmann, who died by suicide 10 years ago, her father, Bill Werthmann, joined us in the studio this morning, having completed the ride on Saturday. We hear about the ride's success, the people it touched, the musical concerts they held, and Bill plays us a song live in the studio - "Stuff That Works" a Guy Clark that became his anthem for the ride.
