"I would like to ride my bike all the time," said Councillor Michael Walters (ward 10) on this morning's Bike Bits with CJSR's bicycle traffic reporter Karly Coleman. "What we're trying to do here is create a network of bike lanes that makes it easier for people to choose to ride, that takes us to every corner of the city on any given day."
On a show where we examined some of Edmonton's bicycle infrastructure, we were joined by Marcel Huculak, transportation engineer with ISL Engineering and Land Services, who is contracted by the city to work on bike lane projects, and Councillor Walters.
"I'm less concerned about short term optics and managing communications, than I am with actually getting people on board across the city with the kind of investments we need at budget time," said Walters.
Note: Although this album is split into three parts, it should be thought of as one show.
