about

Karly Coleman, CJSR's bicycle traffic reporter told Peter Chapman about concern around the lack of temporary bicycle infrastructure during construction. We discuss some of the causes, and whether a change is coming, albeit irregularly and unpredictably.

Ghost bikes are placed around the world at the site of cycling fatalities. Sadly one of the white painted bikes was placed in Edmonton this week, following a cyclist being struck and killed on May 20. We discussed what length of time these memorials should last, with one proposal suggesting they should stay until the infrastructure fault that may have been a contributor is fixed.

Also, we hear that the Edmonton Bicycle Commuter's will be doing their annual Bike to the Symphony ride on Saturday to hear the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra perform Bruckner & Bruch's work.
